As Walt Whitman waxes eloquent in his poem about the wondrous attributes of the human body, we now recognize that indeed, we are constructed of atoms, which are composed of electrons, positrons and neutrons. Thus, we are subject to the electrical environment in which we live.
Currently, this electrical environment is under tremendous upheaval.
All life on the planet depends on the life-sustaining electromagnetic fields produced by the Earth. The so-called Schumann Resonances produced by the interaction of the Earth’s iron core, mantle and crust, resulting in the constant lightning circulating the globe, provide a richly biocompatible field of energy that supports optimal cellular physiology.
These frequencies, in the range of 3-40 Hz (cycles per second) are the same frequencies as our brain waves. Indeed, every cell in the body is designed to vibrate at these frequencies. Isolation from these fields, as evidenced by artificial isolation (experimentally), or with astronauts living aboard the International Space Station, demonstrate rapid deterioration of cell structure and physiological balance (e.g., muscle and bone loss).
The Challenge:
There is now well documented evidence that the Earth is in the midst of a major decline in the strength of its magnetic field due to a reversal of the magnetic poles (Geomagnetic Reversal). This is a cyclical event, occurring approximately every several hundred thousand years and has occurred 14 times in the past 3 million years. It is estimated that the current strength of the Earth’s EM field is only 30% of what it was 400 years ago.
To add to this challenging change in the Earth’s life-sustaining electromagnetism, there is an increasing array of various non-biocompatible electromagnetic fields (EMF’s), resulting in what we might refer to as electromagnetic (EM) pollution. Electromagnetic pollution has been cited as a possible contributor to certain clinical manifestations, categorized under the term, Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (EHS).
